Celeste's teaching experience spans more than 30 years. She holds certificates in Iyengar, Sivanada and Ashtanga Yoga and has studied with many popular North American and European teachers. She has lost count of the number of students who have attended her classes and the ones whom she assisted in training to become Teachers themselves.
Her integrative style is based on strong alignment principles, no longer specified by one school or another, but on the practical applications of grace and ease of movement and peace of mind. Celeste is particularly interested in Yoga Therapy and offers Private Sessions with this as a focus. Nature inspires her, as do the rigours of Life... which keep one both curious and humble.

My strengths lie first in my passion for teaching, which enables my class participants to achieve their fitness goals and quickly gain self-confidence, coupled with body awareness and strength. My classes are supportive, encouraging and inspiring.
Offering well-grounded, sound exercise, at an energy level that suits the individual, I am continually mindful of good practice. Motivated to be the best I can be, I'm a true believer in all forms of exercise as the route to sound health. I believe my passion, knowledge, enthusiasm and energy is contagious. I love what I do.
I have been teaching various fitness modalities for 28 years, teaching a Heart Rehab class here on Salt Spring for the last 21 years. I graduated from Newcastle University UK (1976) with a teaching degree. I was then encouraged to apply my skills to the Health Industry through fitness.
I am a fully Certified Fitness Instructor and my CPR and First Aid certification are annually updated. The joy which I strive to instill in myself motivates me to share with, and inspire, all class participants to reach new levels of fitness and health.

Nia
250-539-5258
I have been dancing Nia since 2001 and achieved my Nia White Belt and became a Certified Nia Teacher in 2008. Through Nia, I have rediscovered a love of dance, creativity and discipline and I love how teaching gives me an opportunity to share that discovery in ways large and small with each person who comes to a class. The Nia routines are danced to a wide range of contemporary music scores. Some of my favourites include: Ganga Giri, Adham Shaikh and Basenectar.
Barbara Marie Slater
UBUNTU

Barbara is a graduate of the Community Choir Leadership Training led by Shivon Robinsong and Denis Donnelley of the Gettin' Higher Choir in Victoria B.C. She is a member of the UBUNTU global choir network. Ubuntu is an ancient Zulu word meaning "I am because we are". Her chant circles are non-denominational. They are designed to ease the participant into the experience of collectively singing intentionally uplifting chants from many cultures. Barbara offers a safe and supportive environment in which to experience the joy of chanting. The session ends with a five minute silent meditation. All voices are welcome.
Shauna Devlin
5 Rhythms
Shauna completed the 5Rhythms Teacher Training with Gabrielle Roth in April 2011.
In January of 2006 Shauna attended her first 5Rhythms class. It was during this class that she became very aware of the direction that her life was about to take. She knew deep down that one day she would share this most amazing practice with her community and beyond.
To each class she offers herself fully and completely. Her love for and curiosity of the human spirit in its many forms on and off the dance floor is apparent.

Kaia Mitchell
Fusion Belly Dance
Kaia's offerings are devoted to empowering and activating the divine within us all and opening the heart as love. After completing her Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher training at Moksana in 2004, she began to deeply explore the transformational power of movement not only through yoga, but through dance, breath and sound. This lead her to Kundalini Dance; a fusion of ecstatic dance, pranic breathwork and shamanic processes using the chakra system as a journey map of each session. Kaia completed her Kundalini Dance facilitator training in 2007 and has been facilitating sessions ever since. Diving into sacred dance also lead her to the study of Bellyfit and Bellydance, training with renowned Tribal fusion dancers Samantha Hasthorpe, Ariellah, and Kami Liddle, among others. She was part of the Salt Spring troupe, Sister Lotus, and has been teaching Yoga and Tribal bellydance classes on Salt Spring since 2009. Kaia is also a trained energetic body worker in the Sekhem lineage and is a certified Aromatherapist with her own line of vibrationally healing products, Upala.
