A YEAR TO LIVE
How to live this year as if it were your last

Monthly starting April 11
7:30pm - 9:00pm
Facilitator: Christine Mauro
$65 for the year

If you only had one year to live, what would you do? Join us as we journey through the coming year as if it were our last. Using Stephen Levine’s book, A Year to Live, as our guide, we will follow Levine’s practical strategies and explore his guided meditations.

To support us on this exciting but difficult and sometimes frightening journey, we will meet once a month throughout the year. Together we may discover that, as Levine says, “preparing for death is one of the most profoundly healing acts of a lifetime” – that practicing for death enhances our joy in life.

Christine Mauro has a degree in philosophy and practised law for 20 years. She is a hospice volunteer and an instructor with the Roots of Empathy program at Salt Spring Island Middle School. She practises yoga and vipassana/insight meditation.
