Instructor: Kristen Lewis Woodruff

You are invited to come celebrate Summer Solstice at the beautiful new Ganges Yoga Studio with a holistic Yoga practice in honor of this special time of year. Join your fellow yogis as we cultivate the courage, flexibility, focus, and sense of humor necessary to experience times of change as opportunities for deep healing and growth.

Summer Solstice is a time of rapid growth and incredible transformation in the natural world, making this an ideal time of year to invite positive change into our lives. As we invite positive changes into our own lives, we open the possibility for positive change to come about in our families, our communities, and our world. And positive change is certainly welcome at this particular moment in world history.

This afternoon intensive will introduce students of all ages and ability levels to the practice of Embodied Prayer as a way to awaken, activate, and energize their potential for profound, life-affirming transformation.

Embodied Prayer is a breath-based practice grounded in the ancient teachings of yoga, suitable for people of all faith backgrounds. Through a lively mix of yoga asana (postures), therapeutic dance, meditation, and song, we open to the loving force of creation, and bring our prayers home to our bodies. The cultivation of radical self-love and self- acceptance are at the core of this deeply healing practice.
